REV 250 July 4th Cebration
In celebration of our nation's 250th Birthday, the Constitution Island Association held a special celebration! Susan and Anna Warner were deeply patriotic. They supported our country during their lives, studied and shared it's early beginnings, and mentored many Cadets from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
It was a bustling celebration of our nation's history. In addition to tours, the Constitution Island Association proudly sponsored the Nimhan Washington Legacy. The performance shared a story about the friendship between Chief Nimham and General George Washington. It was written by Evan Pritchard, directed by Michael Quinn, and featured the Daisy Jopling Band and the Indigenous Enterprise Dancers.
Garden tours
Docents gave tours of the lovely gardens on Constitution Island. The gardens have expanded in recent years to include the pictured vegetable plot.

Guests enjoyed learning about the Revolutionary history of Constitution Island while walking trails to Redoubt 7. While exploring the Warner House, visitors were welcomed into the Piazza, then followed docents through the family rooms and bedrooms, the formal entertaining spaces before ending their tour in the kitchen; learning about the day to day lives of the Warner family.

In the Nimham Washington Legacy, Daniel Nimham, Grand Sachem for the Wappingers Nation, and George Washington, Commander-In-Chief of the Continental Army, playfully continued their friendship into the Spirit World of the Wappingers, twelve levels of clouds in the sky above Constitution Island, where folk lore mixes with historical fact, with songs of joy and sorrow.
Daisy Jopling
Daisy Jopling and her band accompanied the players in the Nimham Washington Legacy. Daisy is pictured here playing her Revolutionary era violin.
Daisy Joplin was inspired by the story of Daniel Nimham, the Grand Sachem. Daisy inspired writer Evan Pritchard, of the Micmac Tribe, to write the story that unfolded into the Nimham Washington Legacy.
