Please arrive at the metal gate at the south end of the Cold Spring Metro-North train station parking lot. A shuttle bus will be available to take you onto the island to begin the tour. There is no parking available on Constitution Island. You may park your car in the Cold Spring Metro-North train station parking lot; it is free on weekends.

Please arrive at the metal gate at the South end of the Cold Spring Metro-North train station parking lot at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tour, in order to allow time to get onto the island in time for your tour.

Most areas of Constitution Island and the Warner House are not accessible to people with disabilities. For example, the Warner House has several flights of stairs. If you have questions, please email info@constitutionisland.org.

We recommend wearing sturdy walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen, and insect repellent.

You may bring non-alcoholic beverages onto the island. Bottled water is available for purchase in the gift shop. You may take photos on the island, but there is no flash photography permitted in the Warner House.

No, self-guided tours are not available. Our tours are led by knowledgeable docents. However, you are welcome to stroll through our historic gardens before or after your tour.

Constitution Island generally does not issue refunds. Tours are generally held rain or shine! However, if Constitution Island decides to cancel a tour, for example, in the case of severe inclement weather, you will be offered a refund. Yes! There is a gift shop located in the Warner House that offers bottled water, light snacks, and a wide assortment of books, home décor, and children’s toys that celebrate the history and beauty of Constitution Island.
