GARDEN DAY

Come enjoy the beautiful gardens of Constitution Island!

Garden Day offers visitors an opportunity to enjoy and celebrate Constitution Island's beautiful award winning Anna Warner Memorial Garden.  Visitors will also learn about the Warner Sisters role in "American Gardening" by their promotion of the "somewhat radical idea that young ladies could actually do their own physical work such as gardening" back in the late 1800’s.  The day will also highlight the horticultural aspects of the Island through a whole host of activities including lectures from gardening experts, children’s events and guided tours to the redoubts and batteries.

The event is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
