"Constitution Island is a historical gem in the Hudson Valley that deserves our full attention and collaboration to ensure visitors, local residents and tourists can enjoy everything the Island has to offer. I look forward to working with the Constitution Island Association, West Point and all stakeholders to increase tourism opportunities and investments in Constitution Island. Since the day this issue was brought to my attention, I have worked closely with the Constitution Island Association on finding ways to enhance the experience and accessibility to this historic landmark. I will continue to work with West Point to find ways to increase these opportunities, and believe there is a way forward that we can all agree on."

    US Senator Charles E. Schumer
