Take I-95 to Route 287 West, go over the Tappan Zee Bridge. Take exit 13N onto the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP) heading North. Take the PIP to the end, follow signs to Bear Mountain/West Point. Proceed to the Bear Mountain traffic circle. Follow signs for Route 9W North/West Point (3rd exit off circle). Take the West Point/Highland Falls exit. Follow signs towards the visitors center until reaching Thayer Gate (South Gate). The Thayer Hotel is just beyond the gate on the right.

From Northern Westchester and Putnam Counties:

Take Route 9 to the Bear Mountain Bridge. Over the bridge, bear to the right and follow signs to Route 9W North (1st exit off bridge). Take the West Point/Highland Falls exit. Follow signs towards the visitors center until reaching Thayer Gate (South Gate). The Thayer Hotel is just beyond the gate on the right. Proceed through the security checkpoint. Turn right at the stop sign onto Williams Road. At the bottom of the hill is the Hudson River and South Dock.

Take NYS Thruway North / I-87 N to Exit 16 toward Harriman / Route 17. Take the NY 32 ramp toward US 6 East / NY 17 South / Harriman. Turn left onto NY-32. Turn left to take the US-6 East Ramp toward Bear Mountain Bridge. Stay straight on US-6. US-6 becomes NY-293. Take the 9W South Exit to the second West Point / Highland Falls Exit. From Upstate NY via Route 17:

From the JFK or La Guardia Airports:

Follow signs to the Bronx - Whitestone Bridge. After crossing the bridge, stay on the Hutchinson River Parkway North to Cross County Parkway West to 287 (NYS Thruway). Turn left out of Airport parking lot. Follow straight to traffic light and make a left onto Route 207. At the fourth light, make a left. Take the 9W South exit to the second West Point / Highland Falls Exit. Follow signs towards the visitors center until reaching Thayer Gate (South Gate). The Thayer Hotel is just beyond the gate on the right. Proceed through the security checkpoint. Turn right at the stop sign onto Williams Road. At the bottom of the hill is the Hudson River and South Dock.

From White Plains Airport:

From New York City:

Take the upper level of the George Washington Bridge, then take the first exit (Palisades Interstate Parkway). Continue on parkway to Bear Mountain Bridge. Cross bridge and turn left Route 9D north. Continue on 9D to the third traffic light, and turn left onto Main Street, and follow Cold Spring directions below.

From the Taconic Parkway:

Take the Cold Spring exit (Route 301 West) and continue on Route 301 (Main Street) into the village of Cold Spring, then follow Cold Spring directions below.

From I-84:

Take the Beacon/Route 9D exit. Go south on Route 9D, through the city of Beacon and the Breakneck Ridge tunnel, until you reach Main Street in Cold Spring. Turn right onto Main Street, and follow Cold Spring directions below.

Cold Spring Directions:

At the end of Main Street, turn left on Lunn Terrace, proceed over the bridge and turn left again into the station parking lot. Please note that the train platform is at the NORTH end of the station. Continue to the end of the parking lot. The gate to Constitution Island is located at the SOUTH end of the station. Parking is free and a shuttle bus will bring you on to the island. Reservations are not required.
